A Broom with a View

I've always loved Halloween - I think mostly it's the season that does it for me - there's just something about Autumn. So I was ticked to be asked to review Kristen Lawrence's Halloween Carols CD, a wonderful collection of music written just for this holiday. Sierra and I were so excited to put this in and listen to it while driving across town and she was so enthralled that when we arrived at our destination she didn't want to get out of the van, but wanted to sit and listen to more! :)

Kristen Lawrence is a very gifted musician/composer and having played the organ for many years myself I was very appreciative of her talent and hard work that went into this collection. To me, it is a combination of classical, rock and some folk thrown in for flavor. Honestly this is a CD that I will probably listen to year round!

I'm even more thrilled to be able to offer one of my readers the chance to win their very own copy of Kristen's Halloween Carols! To enter post a comment telling me what your favorite Halloween memory is. For additional entries you can:

The funniest Halloween I ever had was my first Halloween with my husband. We were in college and decided to head out into the mob that descended on our town. He dressed as Bear in Blue House and I was Marie Antoinette complete with freshly severed head both pretty big, lavish costumes. As we walked the streets we heard a drunk guy shout, "It's Alf and a Mormon!" It was hilarious.

My favorite Halloween Memory is being orphan Annie. I was her for 3 years! I loved the costume, in fact, it's probably in a box somewhere at my mother's house! Silly me...

My favorite Halloween was the first Halloween I stayed at home and opened my door to trick or treaters. I wore a witch costume and opened the door and talked to the trick or treaters. I think the little ones were scared. But still they took lots of candy and held tight to mommy's hand.

My favorite Halloween memory was when a few friends from the houses on our block used to get together and make an impromptu haunted house on our front lawn for Halloween. People would run home and get old clothes to stuff for bodies - we even had one guy run off and quickly construct a make shift coffin to put in the yard. Great times.
